Description
Yummy, rich colored copper woven wire enhances five focal beads for a stunner of a bracelet. Double Viking knit is easier than it looks, but with very impressive results!! Learn the technique for weaving this ancient knit and, with the addition of beads, findings, and additional wire, construct one for yourself! Most students will complete a bracelet in class. Please request supply list upon registration.

Prerequisites
None, but previous wire working experience is helpful.

Materials List (all available at Crystal Bead Bazaar)
 
24-gauge copper wire

  • 20-gauge copper wire
  • 24-gauge copper wire
  • 5 10-20mm focal beads (lampwork, gemstone, glass all work great)
  • 4 copper end caps (size to be determined-discussed in class)
  • Copper spacers and bead caps
  • Draw plate

Tools List

REQUIRED MATERIALS:  All students MUST bring a task light (Ott or similar) or other personal lighting and an extension cord/power strip AND magnifier reading glasses.

 Please bring these tools if you own them. The shop has some on hand to loan or for sale if you need them:

    • Wire cutter
    • Needle tool or awl
    • Round nosed pliers
    • Chain nosed pliers
    • Nylon jaw pliers
  • Instructor will provide: Dowel rod, masking tape, rulers, and (time permitting) patina.
